"Marty" was the sweetest lady.  Always a kind word and also words to inspire and encourge.  She is sadly missed by all who knew her.  Thanks Mrs. Ingram.

I really hope someone who knows Mrs. Ingram's family could pass this along to her.  I am the 5th of 8 children, 4 of whom attended WYHS (3 ahead of me)... and I went to visit Mrs. Ingram to discuss the idea of attending college.  The conversation:

1. Mrs Ingram:  what classes do you enjoy?

2. Me: Math

3. She shuts my file and says "apply to Miami University in Oxford, OH and go into their Computer Science / Systems Analysis program" - shuts my file...

4. Can I afford to go there?  Where is it?  Can I get into college?

5. She gives me the financial aid applications and gives me a brochure about Miami University...

I applied to Miami, no visit, no orientation, (no website virtual tour back then)... here I am after a 30+ year career in IT, loving what I do and thankful for her guidance.  I would not be here today, preparing for an early retirement, looking back on a successful career without her gut instincts and candor.  Thank you Mrs. Ingram - truly what a "guidance counselor" is all about -- this was nowhere on my radar.
