Mark Foltz - Class Of 1975

Mark Foltz '75
Husband to Nancy Kasinecz Foltz '75, & Brother to Rick '66 & Glenn '70.

High Point - Mark Douglas Foltz, 66, peacefully passed to our Lord Saturday, December 16, 2023, at his residence, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He found joy in every day.

Born January 27, 1957, in Decatur, IL, Mark was the son of the late Clarence Richard and Barbara Ann Fortna Foltz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Foltz. Mark moved from Whitehall, OH to High Point in 1990 and worked as a construction subcontractor, primarily installing siding and windows. He was a hard worker who was always willing to help friends and relatives with their home projects, sharing his skills and enjoying the camaraderie of working together. He was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Chicago Bears. Mark was a skilled billiards player and also enjoyed travelling, golfing, painting and working in his garden.

Mark loved life and loved having fun such as hosting family and friends for pool time, cook outs, corn hole tournaments, board game nights and cards. Some of his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his beautiful granddaughters, travelling to numerous amusement parks, coaching their softball and he was their biggest fan through their years playing various sports.

Mark is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, whom he had loved since grade school, Nancy Kasinecz Foltz, of Whitehall; his daughter, Sarah Foltz, of High Point; his son, Justin Foltz (Susan), of High Point; three granddaughters, Kiera Williams, Angel Williams, and Stella Foltz; and two brothers, Rick Foltz, of Florida, and Glenn Foltz (Marlena), of OH. Also surviving are many extended family members, including 61nieces and nephews (great and great-great).

The family will receive friends and family at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Cumby Family Funeral Service, in High Point, with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A reception in the Life Tribute Center will follow the memorial service.
