Allan Hartman - Class Of 1959

Hartman Allan "Al" Gary Hartman, after a full and wondrous life, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 27, 2014. Al was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 16, 1942 to Raymond L. and Helen Gottlieb Hartman, both of whom preceded him in death. Al was a graduate of Whitehall High School and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965. He worked as a civil servant for the Cities of Los Angeles and Columbus, was a free-lance photographer and stringer for the Reynoldsburg Reporter and retired from Mt. Carmel East Hospital in 1990. He has been a resident of Reynoldsburg since 1980 and was very involved in the community. Al is survived by Catherine "Cathy", his wife of almost 47 years; his son, Joshua (finacee', Karla); and his three daughters, Hannah (Rob) Blurton, Serenity Miller, and Phoebe (Mark) McDonald. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jonathan (Leslea) Hartman, David Frisch (fiancee', Alyssa), Tyler Forbes, Shanna Forbes, Alexandra Hartman, Brooklyn McDonald, Sydney McDonald; as well as numerous other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Providence Orthodox Presbyterian Church building fund (POPC), c/o POPC, 7095 Summit Road, SW, Pataskala, Ohio 43062. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, October 31, at Providence Orthodox Presbyterian Church, where his memorial service will be Saturday, November 1 at 2 p.m. His arrangements are being cared for by the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, Reynoldsburg, and messages may be sent to his family by visiting www.cotnerfuneralhome.com
