Obituary of Stanley Roger Helber

Stanley Roger Helber was born to Walter and Anna Marie Helber in Columbus, Ohio on October 23, 1945. He spent 26 years in the Air Force serving in both the Vietnam and the Gulf War. While in the military, the highlight was getting to travel to Egypt. He loved going into the pyramids. He counted among his other achievements the 535 wonderful children he and his wife fostered over the years. Stanley was an avid fan of OU and Ohio State football and loved watching movies and going out to eat. He loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed many band concerts and high school football games. He loved telling jokes and having his pup, Gizmo, by his side. Stanley was a long-time member of Life Church and Tinker AFB Chapel.

Stanley passed into death, in his sleep, on October 18, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Melvin and Frank Helber, and nephew, Daniel Cobbs.

Stanley is survived by his wife, of 55 years, Mary Helen and children Jeffrey and Rowela Helber, Theresa and Keith Wilson, Charlie and Danny Helber. He also leaves grandchildren, Jenna, Connor, Kaitlyn and Derek. Other relatives surviving Stanley are his brothers Wally and Janet Helber, Daniel and Cheryl Helber, Chuck and Christine Helber and his sister-in-law, Charlotte and Brian Cobbs; cousins Tom, Dick and Oretha Gray; nephews Adam, Chris, Ryance and Russell and nieces Renee, Becky, Trisha, Wendy and April; great niece and nephew, Olivia and Alex.
