In Memory

Esther Wrightsel - Class Of 1973

Esther Elaine Wrightsel passed away peacefully from complications of heart disease on November 12, 2021. She was lovingly surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Kenneth Wrightsel and Juanita Wrightsel, sister Carolyn June Wrightsel, and brother Earl J. Wrightsel. She is survived by her husband Dale Lobeck, sister Nadine Sparks, daughters Deven Wrightsel and Desiree Wrightsel, and 3 grandchildren: Grant McCallips, Peyton McCallips, and Reagan McCallips.

Esther was passionate about beauty, devoting her life to the arts and all things creative. She loved animals, gardening, and most of all, her daughters and grandchildren. Her golden heart was evident by how she nurtured all three. Her garden thrived in all seasons, including her perennials, herbs, and above all, her hops.

Her ability to express herself through words and writing was her foremost gift. As a published author, she offered the world a glimpse into who she truly was as a human being and instilled the same love of language in her family.

Her passion for animals was evident by her fur family. Having saved numerous cats and dogs over the years, she reminded all of us that even the smallest of souls was equal to our own. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Private services will be held for Esther's family.

In lieu of flowers, please send contributions in her honor to the Licking County Humane Society.
