James G. Pickworth, 72, of Sunbury passed away Saturday afternoon, July 8, 2017 at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 10, 1944 in Ashland, Ohio to the late Charles and Norma (Buckingham) Pickworth.

Having a passion for cars, James worked as a trusted salesman for Singer and Bob Keim Ford and owned and operated Family Auto Sales in Sunbury for several years.

He was a devoted and faithful member of the Sunbury United Methodist Church and he loved spending time with his family. He was also a former member of the Sunbury Lion's Club.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 33 years, Carol (Harper); sons, Guy Pickworth of Livonia, Michigan, Bryan (Deborah) Pickworth of Garden City, Michigan and Bradley (Dana) Pickworth of Ashley; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sister, Kay Lawson of Powell; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother Larry Pickworth.
