In Memory

Linda (Gail) Anderson (Paulk) - Class Of 1960

Linda passed away on January 1, 2022.
Linda was born in Huntington, WV to the late Luther and Juanita Anderson. She spent her later childhood and young adulthood in Columbus, Ohio where her daughter Candace was born. She was a graduate of Whitehall Yearling High School in Columbus.

Linda was President of Wendy’s of Kokomo from the time of her husband’s passing in 1985 until the time of the sale of her business in 2017. She was an outstanding business leader in the community. She won numerous awards for female entrepreneurs. In 1989, she was awarded the Wendy’s award for 'Outstanding Franchisee of the Year' from Wendy’s International.

Linda was grateful for her success and believed in giving back to the community. Some of her community service positions included tenures as President of the local Red Cross Chapter, President of the Howard Community Hospital Foundation, and President of Wendy’s local charity foundation. She was also proud to have contributed a substantial amount to the Veterans Association to purchase the land necessary to have their yearly reunions.

Linda’s greatest love was animals. She loved her pets and they were a great joy in her life. She was an avid supporter of the Kokomo Humane Society, and along with her daughter Candace, was a top supporter of the building of the CatCafe in their new building on Hoffer Street.

Everyone who knew Linda will miss her smile and her charm.
