Kenneth Herbert Paulson, Jr. "Kenny", aged 70, died unexpectedly from natural causes on Monday, February 21, 2022 at his home in Pataskala, Ohio. Born July 2, 1951 to Florence (Paulson) Schaefer and Kenneth H Paulson Sr. who preceded him in death. Kenny was a 1969 graduate of Whitehall Yearling High School and a 1973 Ohio State University graduate with a Bachelor's in Social Studies Education.

Kenny lived and worked in Whitehall, Ohio for most of his life. He is well known for his time at the Swim-Land Club pool, both as an employee and the proprietor. He enjoyed his many years of teaching swim lessons and coaching the sailfish swim team. Many will remember him for his infamous speedo, aviator Ray-Ban sunglasses, shrill whistle, and no-nonsense attitude. He was a loving father, and grandfather who doted on his children and grandsons until the very end. Kenny is survived by his wife, Terri Paulson (Sims); daughter, Erin J Paulson (Haar); son, Ryan C Paulson; son-in-law, Matthew R Haar; daughter-in-law, Laura E Beabout-Paulson; grandsons, Gus and Evan Haar; sisters, Donna Paulson (King), Ingrid (Ziemanski), Linda (Evans), and Kathy (Sifford). Kenny made it clear during life that having a formal funeral was not his desire. The family will be holding calling hours on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 between 4-7pm at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home located at 289 S. Main Street, Pataskala, Ohio 43026.
