John Joseph Hitselberger lV, age 74, born in Bethesda ML, passed away at Saint Joseph Hospital in Atlanta GA. After a years battle with multiple ailments his heart gave up just before a scheduled operation. Most of his adult life John lived in Columbus, OH as a well respected and successful blueprint and copy machine salesman. John, as some called him Jay, spent fifteen of his retirement years in the mountains of Georgia, which he always called “God’s country”. He liked to spend his extra time driving trail-hikers to town to refuel and rest. He would say he felt blessed to meet so many amazing people from all walks of life. He also enjoyed cars, basically most anything with wheels. He was a “car guy” if there ever was one. Surviving John is his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Mimi. Also, his brother Micheal, sister Bobby, and daughter Debbie. John will be cremated by Mountain View Funeral Home. Some of his ashes will be made into a heart cut diamond and the rest will be buried under the old apple tree he loves so much. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements. You may sign the family guest book and send condolences online at www.mountainviewfuneralhome.com
