Paul D. Fraley

January 9, 1967 — November 9, 2017

Paul D. Fraley, 50 of New Port Richey passed away unexpectedly November 9, 2017. He was born January 9, 1967 in Paintsville, KY. He grew up in Columbus Ohio graduating from Whitehall Yearling High School where he excelled as an athlete playing football and wrestling.

In 1985 he joined the United States Marine Corp. Paul was a proud Marine his entire life. In 1988 Paul married his high school sweetheart and love of his live Shelly Fraley.
In 1990 they made New Port Richey their home and began their beautiful journey.
 
In 1999 Paul earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Paul went on to enjoy a 20 year career in Law Enforcement. Working for the Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Corrections and as a Probation Officer. They became a family in 2000 with the birth of their son David Fraley who immediately became the center of Paul’s world. Paul was an incredibly devoted father whose greatest passion was his son and greatest joy was spending time with him. Paul was so proud of David and all of his accomplishments including his success with sports. He coached David in soccer, football and basketball. Paul considered many of the players he coached and their families his family. Paul, David and Shelly always had a special connection with the West Coast Fl Magic Families!
 
Those who knew Paul recognized his great physical and mental strength as well as his loyalty, wit and who can forget his real/honest demeanor. Paul was preceded in death by his father, David D. Fraley, Mother in Law Vickie S. Lash. Paul is survived by his wife Shelly Fraley; his son David Fraley; his mother Brenda Estep; sister Kimberly Bell; Brother Duane Fraley; Brother & Sister In-Law Mickey & Amy Quigley; Brother & Sister In-Law Robert & Vicky Suarez; nieces & nephews Brittany, Christian, Caden, Kimber, Anthony, Ryan, Kyle, Summer & Preston,
