James Day (1969)
Duece and I grew up together. Our lives were a series of one stupid incident after another. Of course, they will always be very dear to me in my memories. I never remember seeing Duece angry or upset. He will forever be remembered laughing at some ridiculous, spontaneous event where we emerged unscathed.
Duece introduced me to my wife, Pam, when he unceremoniously dropped me off at her house and then drove off. I will always truly thank him for that.
We met and talked after the student demonstrations at Ohio University and Ohio State. In true human terms, we drifted apart. That was the last time I saw him. We both had the business of life to deal with. To this day, I miss his laugh, our misdeeds, and his kindness.
I miss you buddy and will the rest of my life. Sleep well, Brother.
Mike Workman (1971)
Hope you're resting peacefully.
