Robert (Bob) Lee Gyke, 75 of Whitehall, died on May 3,2025 at Grant Medical Center. He was born on April 10, 1950, in Charleston, West Virgina, to the late Robert and Freda Gyke. He was a graduate from Whitehall Yearling High School and The Ohio State University with a degree in Agronomy.
He was a member of the Ohio National Guard Reserves. He retired from the City of Columbus as a Public Health Sanitarian I. Robert survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Patrica Zeier, siblings Connie (Larry) Mason, WYHS 1977, David (Sue) Gyke, WYHS 1972, close friend Elvin Turner, and many brothers-in-law and sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 pm Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions – SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
