David Michael Ziemianski, a resident of Newark, Ohio, passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on February 5, 1951, David was a man known for his great sense of humor and his love for all living things.
David received his early education at Holy Spirit Catholic School and graduated from Whitehall Yearling High School in the Class of 1969. He was proud Marine Corps veteran; David honorably served his country during the Vietnam War—an experience that shaped his lifelong respect for service and camaraderie. He was a member of the Alert Team and had a deep passion for CB radios and scanners. David was instrumental in forming a veteran group chat on AOL and a Facebook page for veterans where he enjoyed connecting with fellow veterans. He also collected Marine Corps memorabilia and served with pride as Past Commander of the Reynoldsburg VFW Post 9473. His career included roles as a trucker and a tow truck driver, and time with Bill Swad Chevrolet.
On Valentine’s Day, David married the love of his life, Ingrid (Paulson) Ziemianski. Their 39 years together were filled with laughter, love, and unwavering companionship.
In his personal life, David had a passion for growing plants and tending to wildlife and stray animals. He loved all living things and enjoyed fixing things, always with a great sense of humor. His life was a testament to his caring nature and his ability to bring joy to those around him.
David was preceded in death by his father, Chester Ziemianski, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Ingrid; sons, David (Angel) Ziemianski II and Henry Ziemianski; stepdaughter, Kiann Phalen; mother, Helen Kneisley; brothers, Chester Ziemianski, Jr., Dale Ziemanski (Andrea Fox), and Daniel Ziemianski (Ellen); sisters, Deborah Z Dorn and Rae Ziemianski; grandchildren, Alex, David III, Isaiah, Joshua, and Phillip; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A brief viewing will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 2:45 pm to 3:00 pm followed by a graveside service from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, located at 5600 E Broad St, Columbus, OH, 43213. Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger East.
