Obituary for Koidu H. Michels

MICHELS
Koidu (Koi) H. Michels, age 63 of Hilliard, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016. She was born in Columbus to the late Leo and Linda Kleeman and graduated from Whitehall High School Class of 1970. Koi served several years as a docent at The Columbus Zoo. She enjoyed cooking and loved to travel anywhere that had a beach. She loved creating a home for her family and her children brought her great joy. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Monte; son Matthew; daughter Melissa; brother Mart Kleeman; niece Kristen (Cooper) Verdine. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Schoedinger East Chapel 5360 E Livingston Ave Columbus where her funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday. Interment will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Capital Area Humane Society www.cahs-pets.org Visit www.schoedinger.com to share a memory of Koi.
