David sadly passed away on July 16, 2016...

David Steele age 65, Sunday, July 15, 2018 at his residence.  Retired Major USAF Pilot.  He enjoyed golf, coaching his grandkids in sports.  He was an avid sports fan and athlete, outdoorsman.  Novice woodworker.  Member of Whitehall Alumni Association.  He loved his grandkids very much, was a pretty great brother and excellent at making lifelong friends.  Survived by daughter Sara Jeanne Steele; son, Sean Steele; grandchildren, Robert Jess Vargas, III, Elena Ramirez, Alicia Ramierer, Gabriella Ramirez, Samuel Ramirez, Connor Steele; sisters, Janet Steele and Carol Steele; brother, John “Brad” Steele; aunts Jo and Judy; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Preceded in death by parents, John W. and Jeanne H. Steele.  Friends may call Friday 5-7 PM EVANS FUNERAL HOME 4171 E. Livingston Ave. where funeral service will be held Saturday 11:00 AM.  Rev. P.K. Fowler officiating.  Interment Eastview Cemetery, Centerburg.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
