I saw that Mike Turner is on a granite pillar in Gahanna's veteran's memorial park, which is on Hamilton Road, in front of the high school. So, he must've graduated from Gahanna.
That is so nice that Gahanna has the granite pillar for the Gahanna's veteran's memorial park, in front of the high school, with engraved names. The older articles, I've linked in his memorial on the WYHS alumni 67-73 Facebook page, did state he graduated from Gahanna. I'll have to go over there & view. Wondering if there are names of all Veterans who attended/graduated from Gahanna Lincoln or if the names are anyone who resided in Gahanna and served our country.
On this Memorial Day 2022 I remember Mike Turner very well. We played on several little league baseball teams together in our younger years. I remember Mike as somewhat shy and quiet. I was in Vietnam right after Mike and was very fortunate to return home. He died for his country and never got to live his best life. RIP
