Carolyn Tigner - Class Of 1973


CAROLYN I. TIGNER SABO 
Carolyn I. Tigner Sabo, 42, Walbridge, died Sunday, June 22 as a result of an auto accident, along with her husband and daughter.  She was a devoted mother and wife and is survived by her parents, Deril and Dorothy Tigner of New Straitsville.  


She was a member of Main Street Church of the United Brethren in Christ where she was on the volleyball team. She was a member of the Walbridge Softball Association, Ladies Bowling League at Toledo Sports Center, and a member of the Thousand Adventures Camping Club. She was involved with the Girl Scouts and a mother to many foreign exchange students. She was an avid jet skier, snow mobiler, camper and joke teller.

Also surviving are two brothers, Nelson,WYHS 1964  (Janice) Tigner of Columbus and Floyd, WYHS 1970 (Debbie) Tigner of Lakeland, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Tigner of New Straitsville; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of friends. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Deril Tigner Jr., and her grandparents. 
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Lancaster Church of the United Brethren in Christ with Pastor Ron Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in New Straitsville Cemetery. 
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 Thursday at Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, and one hour prior to services at the church. 
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Walbridge Athletic Association or Main Street Church of the United Brethren in Christ Church in care of the funeral home.
