George W. Dreisbach, Jr., 75, passed away on Thursday, October 14 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville. He was born January 15, 1946 in Baltimore, OH to George W. Dreisbach, Sr. and JoAnn (Mason) Dreisbach. George is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karen (Page) Dreisbach of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Ann Dreisbach of Bellbrook; one daughter, Shelly (Dreisbach) McConnell of Johnstown; five grandchildren, Erin, Ashley, and Brandon McConnell, G. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law Chuck McConnell.

George was a 1964 graduate of Whitehall Yearling High School. He was a Vietnam veteran serving 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He was a proud 37 year veteran of the Columbus Police Department. A member of the Fraternal Order of Police, his last 17 years on the department he served in the motorcycle division. George loved spending time with family, especially watching his five grandchildren participate in sports. He coached youth baseball for several years in Gahanna. He enjoyed playing golf with family and friends. One area of concern from most of his family is the fact that he was a fan of that team up North, but we will not hold that against him. He was a member of Johnstown Presbyterian Church.
