This memory & recognition is from Mike Scheen one of Dale Faust's sons.

Dale Faust coached Baseball, Cross Country, & Wrestling.  When he coached wrestling he would put on the Whitehall wrestling tournament same for cross country and was the Basketball and Football announcer for a number of years.

The people that might have remembered him I'm sure are dwindling but he was dedicated to WYHS.  Certainly he was connected to the community of Whitehall thru its local public pool at that time, Swimland(RIP).  That was how most of the kids in Whitehall's district initially would have met him.  A lot of WYHS students worked at that pool (it opened in 1955) so I am not sure what kind of reaction his name might bring but i don't doubt that he would be remembered.

He was an alumnus of West Jefferson(Ohio) H.S. then OSU where he got his teaching certificate. He played semi-pro baseball some time after OSU and I believe he was on the OSU baseball team for his sophomore year.  He never had his own biological children and he was a strict disciplinarian and tough boss at the swimming pool.   If there was some recognition for all that he contributed to WYHS athletics I'd appreciate your time and consideration of this matter.
