Donald Hall

June 9, 1946 — March 17, 2025

Donald Fred Hall passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones March 17,2025 in La Grange, Ky. He was born June 9, 1946, in Lodi, Ohio to Don and Mary Ellen Hall. He grew up in Ohio and Alaska. He married the love of his life, Martha Hall, February 14th, 1968.

Fred was a Vietnam Vet and served his country proud. He worked at Sam Swope, Buick, GMC and Pontiac for 33 years before retiring in 2010. He was the best mechanic and loved working on cars. He was very dedicated, hardworking and successful.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandpa and great poppy. He loved without hesitation and would do anything for anyone. He lived his life by one of his favorite bible verses, Isaiah 41:10 – So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

He will be sorely missed and survived by his wife Martha Hall, daughter Sandy Hall, granddaughter Jessica Banks (Nick), great grandchildren Evelyn & Milo Banks, his brother Kevin Hall (Denise), sister-in-law: Patricia Sullivan, Nancy Moore (Charlie), brother-in-law: Mike Nilles, his nephews: Matthew Sullivan (Samantha), Mark Sullivan (Paula), nieces: Mandy Mercurio, Anne Marie Massey (Reed), Cindy Hoswer, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Don and Mary Ellen Hall, his sister Becky Hall, and his only son Tony Hall.  

Bob  enlisted in the military right after he graduated from WYHS.  He struggled with kidney disease & other illnesses after serving in Vietnam.  

Arrangements:

Visitation will be from 1pm- 2pm for family and 2pm-9pm for loved ones and friends on March 24th, 2025.
Visitation will be from 10am-11am, Service at 11am followed by burial at 12pm on March 25th,2025.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to St. Jude. Fred was a proud supporter and loved what St. Jude stands for.  To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Donald Hall, please visit our flower store.
