She was preceded in death by her parents Harley Gwynne and Freda Neola (Strait) Thomas. Sue is survived by her sister Kimberly Thomas, brother John (Connie) Thomas and sister Tammy (Scott) Thomas-Palmer. In addition to organizing recreational activities, she provided guests information on Kentucky history, culture and nature. After retiring, she returned to Columbus, Ohio.
Sue supported her communities by becoming an EMT and, later, a paramedic. She fulfilled these roles while being a part of various volunteer fire departments. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing arts and crafts, crocheting, fishing, reading and visiting friends. She lived her faith by making a positive impact on everyone in which she came in contact.

The family would like to express appreciation to the staff of Woodlands Assisted Living Facility and the Mt. Carmel East Hospital for their care provided to Sue.
