Robert McFadyen

Robert Lynn McFadyen, devoted family man, born June 20, 1960, age 53, passed away suddenly Friday, September 27, 2013. Preceded in death by father James and mother Marilyn McFadyen. In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by his nephew Matthew Koshgarian and father-in-law Russell E. Johnson. Robert is survived by loving wife of 29 years, Debra; son, Ryan; daughters, Michelle (Chance Miller) McFadyen and Paige McFadyen; grandchildren, Chandler and McKenna Miller; sister, Susan (David) Koshgarian; brother Mark (Jeanie) McFadyen; brother-in-law, (Michael (Paula) Johnson; mother-in-law, Lois Johnson; nieces, Lindsay (Gregory Grason) Koshgarian, Drew and Samantha Koshgarian; nephews, Andrew, Miles and Spencer McFadyen; nieces, Amanda and Heather Johnson; and a great niece, Margaret Koshgarian Grason. Robert attended Whitehall Yearling High School where he played football and graduated in 1978. Following high school, he worked a variety of logistics management roles with The Limited Brands, while attending The Ohio State University for some time, eventually rising to Director of Physical Distribution, Transportation and Logistics for Henri Bendel. Robert left The Limited in 1991 to spend more time with his family and start his own business. He was heavily involved in Pickerington Youth Sports as a coach and baseball/softball umpire for 20 years. Robert was inspired by his mother's health care experience to pursue a career in nursing and had recently fulfilled that dream, graduating in 2013 from Chamberlain College of Nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing. Robert's greatest achievement and sense of fulfillment in life was in helping his own children and grandchildren realize their own dreams. Friends may visit 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road North (St. RT. 256) Pickerington 43147, where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday.
