Tom was born November 22, 1960 in Wurzburg, Germany to Master Sgt. Kenneth and Helen Saffle. He graduated from St. Phillips The Apostle Elementary and Whitehall Yearling High School in Whitehall, OH, class of 1978, where he made and continued close friendships. Tom also graduated from Columbus State Community College. His work career started with the Kroger Company, Thermo King, ENV Services, Transreefco, Yenkin Majestic and finally his dream job, with Telesis Technologies in Circleville, OH. Tom's job as Senior Technical Service Engineer took him all over the world. In the past 13 years, he had the privilege of visiting foreign countries, including China, Japan, France, England, Germany, Switzerland, Mexico and South Korea and over 500 cities in the United States. In traveling for his job he was given the ability to see many sites and wonders of the world. The job became as much a lifestyle as it was a career; he was very fortunate to share it with his family and his coworkers.

He was an active and dedicated member of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Cocoa, FL where he volunteered as an usher. Tom and Connie were former members of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Buckeye Lake, when they lived in Millersport, OH.

Tom was a devoted and loving husband, father and friend. He took great pride in his work and was a jack-of-all-trades, his handiwork is visible in everything he did and all of the homes he remodeled, especially his last one in Florida.

Tom has always been an avid boater. It was his dream to always live on the water. Tom and Connie got to experience water living for a couple of years at their house on Buckeye Lake. While they enjoyed it, they dreamed of warmer climates and a much big body of water to boat around in. In 2012, they took the plunge and moved to Florida. This move was their dream and Tom luckily got to spend his remaining days in his paradise.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of St. Francis, Inc., 1250-B Grumman Place, Titusville, Florida 32780.
