Cynthia Schwindt Obituary

Cynthia Jane (Cleary) Schwindt passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Hudson, Florida, on May 20, 2025. She was 66 years old.

Born on July 3, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, Cindy was the youngest of seven children born to Clarence A. Cleary and Joan M. (Albers) Cleary. She graduated from Whitehall-Yearling High School and carried with her a deep love for her family, her faith, and her community throughout her life.

Cindy had a vibrant spirit and a deep appreciation for life’s experiences. She loved to travel, explore new places, and enjoy good food. After moving to Florida, she enjoyed many fulfilling years there and especially cherished her trips back to Ohio and Michigan to visit her family.

Cynthia’s life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and service. Following her own journey to sobriety, she dedicated her life to helping others find the same hope and healing. As a committed leader in Alcoholics Anonymous, she mentored and guided countless individuals on their path to recovery. Her compassion extended beyond AA—she volunteered her time counseling women at the local jail, offering encouragement and support to those seeking a new beginning. She also served at a detox center and faithfully contributed to the Helping Hands ministry at Calvary Chapel Worship Center. Her strength, empathy, and unwavering commitment to others left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her brothers William F. Cleary and Patrick M. Cleary, and her sister Christine M. Foreman. Cindy is survived by her beloved daughter, Jessica E. (Schwindt) Kormash; her siblings, Constance A. Fogal (Jim), Michael P. Cleary (Chris), and Cathy J. Cleary; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her radiant spirit, and her deep love for those around her.
