Joey (Joe) Kendrick - Class Of 1969

Joseph Lee Kendrick, 68, of Marietta, formerly of Ashland, OH, passed away peacefully Sunday August 23, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born on September 15, 1951 in Columbus, OH son of the late Norman and Frances Kendrick.

Joe grew up in Whitehall and had a large extended family with many beloved cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents Opal and Cecil Kendrick. He played trumpet in the marching band at Whitehall Yearling High School. He loved to paint and attended Columbus College of Art and Design. Joe had served in the US Air Force and was previously employed in the business office at the National Pride Car Wash in Ashland for nineteen years. After retiring, he moved to Marietta where he worked in Eli Chapman Special Needs Elementary School. Joe had lived on his houseboat on the Ohio River for fifteen years and enjoyed playing the guitar with the Strate River Band for several years.

Joe is survived by his sister Vicki Kendrick, nephew Dustin Knight (Gina), great niece Chloe and great nephew Spencer.
