1946 - 2018

Arthur "Phil" Lynn, 72, of Columbus, passed away on November 2, 2018. Phil was born in Columbus, Ohio on May 27, 1946 to Arthur and Estella Lynn. He served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed woodworking. He retired from Metal Container Company after 29 years of service as a Tool and Die Maker. After leaving the military he continued to serve his community in the VFW, American Legion, and the Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his parents, Phil is preceded in death by his brothers Tom Lynn and Bill Haag. He is survived by loving wife, Barbara Shannon; step-daughter who he loved as his own, Julie Meeks; brother, James (Wilma) Lynn; sister, Joyce Bates; best friend, Butch Deems; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Phil's family will receive friends on Friday, November 9, from 6-8pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg. His graveside service will be held on Saturday, the Marine Corps Birthday, at 11:30am at Glen Rest Memorial Estates, 8029 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg.
