Christy Ann Powers (Holland) - Class Of 1966

Christy Ann Holland, age 70, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at Mt. Carmel East Hospital on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born February 26, 1948 in Columbus, and was a 1966 graduate of Whitehall-Yearling High School. She retired from Huntington Bank with 42 years of accredited service. Christy battled courageously with several health issues during recent years, however she always prevailed.
Her greatest passion in life was love of family. She was the most dedicated and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister and mamaw, always putting others before herself, no matter the circumstances. She will always be remembered for being a compassionate lady, known for her loving attention to her cats, Ivy and KC. Until her eyesight began to fail, Christy enjoyed reading most anything, especially mystery novels by many authors.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 51 years, Robert E. Holland, Jr., who idolized her; daughter, Tracy (Craig) Young, Lancaster; sons, Robert E. (Misti) Holland, Amanda, and Daniel W. (Nicole) Holland, Blanchester. Christy is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Tyler, Sean, Matthew, Cody, Genica, Jaycee, and Annsley; mother, Anna Mae Powers; brothers, Terry (Carm) Powers and Wayne (Laura) Powers; many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Powers; and precious unborn child of Rob & Misti.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff at Alternate Solutions Home Care, especially Steve, Brad, Jill, and Jamie for their dedication to Christy’s rehabilitation services.
Family and friends may visit from noon to 2 pm Tuesday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where funeral service will follow at 2 pm, followed by interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
In lieu of flowers, Chris would have asked that you LOVE YOUR FAMILY.
