Robert Joseph Crites, born on October 25, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio, to Robert and Charlotte Joanne (Earwood) Crites, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Joe was 66 years old.

Joe was preceded in death by his beloved parents as well as his cherished canine and feline companions, Mia, Sammie, and GooGoo. He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Teresa Crites; his loving daughter, Nicole Crites; and his treasured grandsons, Jaxson and Landon. Joe will also be dearly missed by his siblings, Lea, WYHS 1969, Jerry, WYHS 1982, and Christy, WYHS 1972, as well as his nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Joe was a graduate of Whitehall Yearling High School, Class of 1978, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. He was a proud member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 189 and the NOVA car club. Joe had a passion for drag racing and loved going to the Summit National Raceway. He also enjoyed camping and attending concerts, especially those of Aerosmith.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Schoedinger East, located at 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232.
