First day of classes at WYHS as Principal the temp reached 100 degrees in the classrooms. The Supt and Asst Super were not available. I made a decision to dismiss classes after lunch fearing the extreme heat would make staff and students ill. Everyone thought it was a brilliant move. Students could wait for busses in the shade or walk home. I had student taught at WYHS
