Franklin County sheriff’s deputies said the roads were wet and icy when a 20-year-old woman was struck and killed on I-270 early this morning.

Savana Carrier, 20, of Columbus was driving east on I-270 west of I-71 in Jackson Township about 12:10 a.m. when she went off the road and became stuck.Carrier got out of her vehicle and was standing on the side of the road when a car driven by David J. Dennis Jr., 45, of Chillicothe also went off the road. Dennis’ vehicle struck Carrier. She died at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center.
