2017 Review
  1. WYAA uses to engage with WYHS alumni, friends & staff.  Since we launched on June 2016, over 1,070 alumni have joined our website with over 52,000 views.  Please tell your classmates to register.
  2. WYAA Board Members are:  Joyce Hildenbrand Turnbull 1969, Katie Queen Quincel 1972, Claire Wilson Cooper 1993, Anthony Jordan 2002, Byron Diaz 2011, Superintendent Brian Hamler 1977, Athletic Director Bill Hughett & Principal Paul Smathers.
  3. Nancy Keller Fitton 1970, Brian Hamler 1977 & Karen Liepack Conison 1980 were inducted into the Hall of Fame.
  4. WYAA sent Sports Cards to 180 WYHS Veterans for free admission at all home sports games.  Pete Scalia of Channel 10 interviewed some of our WYHS Veterans about this program.  If you're a veteran, please register on this website to receive your card.
  5. WYAA participated in Whitehall's 'Adopt-A-Street' program by cleaning Yearling Road, between Main & Broad, 5 times this year.  Our sign was installed on Yearling Road by the high school.
  6. This website supported Class Reunions: 1967, 1972, 1977 & 1987.  If you're planning a Class Reunion in 2018, contact Joyce Turnbull @  You can use this website to plan events for: announcements, mass emails, registrations, reunion photos, easy reporting & more!
  7. WYAA participated in the 2017 Homecoming Parade.  Terry Taxter, 1967 Homecoming Queen, celebrated her 50th anniversary.  Many alumni participated in the pregame & halftime shows.
  8. WYAA also started an after-school tutoring program on Wednesdays.  We expect this program to grow in 2018 & looking for volunteers.

Thanks for your support as WYAA looks to support WYHS alumni, students, staff, friends, class reunions, the Whitehall Education Foundation & the City of Whitehall.

To announce WYAA events in 2018 we're adding a WYAA tab (left column).

WYAA is sponsoring a Career Fair on Friday, February 23.  We're inviting local businesses & alumni who run or own businesses to participate.

This Fair will allow students & alumni a chance to meet people from various companies that offer career opportunities but don't require a 4-year college degree.  We want students & alumni to learn what skills, education &/or professional certifications are required to pursue those careers.

If you want to participate, please contact Joyce Turnbull, 1969, or Claire Cooper, 1993, via this website.  Or send an email to
